Le Fric c'est chic

 

Lately I have really been loving the skater skirt and printed top combo. The skater skirt is such a versatile piece. I like to wear mine with baggy t-shirts, crop tops or when it gets a little chillier it will look nice with a slightly over-sized jumper. This outfit would definitely work beautifully for back-to-school. Wearing a pair of tights would make it more school-appropriate and that way it could also be worn all year round.

Viime aikoina olen todella tykännyt skater-mallisen hameen ja printtipaidan yhdistelmästä. Itse tykkään pukea monipuolisen skater-hameen löysän t-paidan tai crop topin kanssa. Ilmojen kylmetessä hameen kaveriksi neule ja sukkahousut, jolloin asu käy pitkälle syksyyn. Mitä parhain asu näin koulujen alkuun, eikö vain.:)

Making a statement part I

One day when I was cleaning up my jewellery collection I realised I had plenty of beautiful jewellery abandoned in my closet. I felt terrible for not simply having remembered their existence. It was then that I realised I needed to reorganise everything. To start with I put up an Ikea rack on the wall, where I could hang all my favourite pieces. This really made a huge difference. Not only did it create a lovely piece of art on my wall...When I was able to visualize all my beautiful necklaces I started wearing them more. I even started planning my outfits based on which piece of jewellery I felt like wearing.

Yhtenä päivänä järjestellessäni korukokoelmaani huomasin että mulla on paljon kauniita, mutta hylättyjä koruja lojumassa kaapeissa. Tuli jotenkin kurja mieli ja päätinkin silloin että on aika järjestellä korut uudelleen. Ihan alkajaisiksi ripustin Ikean naulakon seinälleni, johon sitten asettelin kaikki kauneimmat koruni. Tämä todellakin kannatti. En ainoastaan saanut sisustuselementtiä koristamaan kotiani, vaan aloin todellakin käyttää koruja useammin. Joskus jopa suunnittelin päivän asuni valitsemani korujen perusteella. 

I'm one of those girls who loves to spice up an outfit with a beautiful statement necklace. For example a simple black or white dress or even a plain maxi dress paired with the right statement necklace can make a stunning outfit. Magical red berries - Punaisia taikamarjoja

The other day it was such a beautiful day so together with my gorgeous photographer miss Katriina we decided to immortalise the day by taking some pretty amazing summery pictures. I will definitely look back at these photos when all I can see is darkness and depressed Autumn people. I mean look at those magical red berries in the trees!

Pari päivää sitten oli niin kaunis päivä, että yhdessä mielettömän valokuvaajani Katriinan kanssa päätettiin ikuistaa se ottamalla upeita kesäkuvia. Katselen varmasti näitä kuvia sitten syksyllä kun ulkona on pimeää ja ihmiset näyttävät väsyneiltä ja masentuneilta. Katsokaa nyt noita taianomaisia punaisia marjoja puissa! 

                                    

These shorts are a recent find from BikBok. Yes I was one of those anxious girls rushing to the store for the big opening of BikBok store in Kultatalo, Turku. It was definitely worth it: 'champagne' and marshmallows :p. I had been looking for a loose pair of shorts for quite a while and these turned out to be the perfect pair of shorts. <3

Nämä shortsit löysin äskettäin BikBokilta. No juu, olin yksi niistä malttamattomista tytöistä ryntäämässä juuri avattuun BikBokin uuteen liikkeeseen Turun Kultatalossa. Oli se kyllä sen arvoistakin: 'kuoharia' ja vaahtokarkkeja :p. Olinkin jo pitkään etsinyt sopivan löysiä shortseja. Onneksi nämä kyseiset shortsit osoittautuivat täydelliseksi löydöksi. <3  

As this is all so brand new to me I would like to know what kind of posts would you be interested to see in the future? I'm also wondering whether I should also summarise my posts in Finnish, what do you guys think? Mindy <3

Koska tää kaikki on mulle vielä niin uudenuutta, olisi kiva jos kertoisitte  hiukan millaisia postauksia haluaisitte tulevaisuudessa mun raapustavan. Päätin nyt lukijoiden toiveesta alkaa kirjoittaa blogiani myös suomeksi. Mindy <3
